Not a creature was stirring....

But I can't shut my brain off!

I just finished a two hour table-clear, dish-do, put-away and clean-up, following a wonderful family post-Christmas Day Christmas celebration (Checchia/McCluskey/Franklin/Campbell/Cox).

Earlier this evening, though, while getting dinner ready, I pulled the turkey out of the roasting pan, and said... "Uh oh, the pope's nose has stuck to the pan!" The response, as you might imagine, was... "What???"

Does anyone else ever wonder whether it is politically correct to refer to the "pope's nose" when carving a turkey, especially in the company of Roman Catholic family members?

Does anyone else even know what I'm talking about, in reference to the "pope's nose" ?

Does anyone even know WHY we call it that?

Googlers... go ahead and make your remarks - I've already looked it up :)

Anyway, I haven't blogged in a VERY long time, and for some reason I thought that today would be a good time to change all that.

I just wanted to post a blog this evening because it was the conclusion to a five day long Christmas celebration that couldn't have been better. I'm sorry to have to go back to work tomorrow, but the break has been a good one. Bring on Month End!

P.S. There are more questions!

Are Nutcracker Statues REALLY as creepy as clowns?

Does anyone really care WHAT we eat, as long as we eat together, and our bellies are full when we leave the table?

When can we do this again?
